Springfield is home to people from all over the world including Puerto Rico, Italy, Vietnam, Somalia, Ireland, Jamaica, Ghana, Native American communities and more.
Springfield Mosaic hopes that the community gets to know their local neighbors and learn about their diverse cultures. While we all live and work within the city’s borders, it has not always been easy. The website will be celebrating organizations such as the Healing Racism Institute of the Pioneer Valley, the Springfield Branch of the NAACP, Martin Luther King Jr. Family Services, Inclusive Strategies and other organizations that help to guide us to understand that which unites us and allows us to mutually respect each other despite our differences.
The website features people’s portraits, and people engaged in a variety of activities through out our community. The Springfield Mosaic website launches November 18, 2023, at the Springfield Mosaic photo exhibit taking place at the Valley Photo Center at the Upper Level in Tower Square, 1500 Main St, Springfield.
